A question to those who have paddle shifters
A question to those who have paddle shifters.
For 7th gen owners who have paddle shifters, does CVT accept to manually be shifted to "6th" gear (say at 35mph) when car and transmission is still relatively cold?
curious to know. I don't have paddle shifters in my 09. And hate to mess with the shift lever consistently (had problems in previous cars doing so).
Bonus question: is your speedo accurate? mine over-reads 2-3 mph (especially past 30 mph). I have stock wheels and tires (I know what throws speedo off).

Re: Paddle Shifters. 35 mph sure works fine...25 only to 5th gear. Now cold in Florida is 60 degrees F so take it with a grain of salt. Also note, that the display is showing 6th gear. It is over-ridden with your foot (if you press on the accelerator it won't bog down the engine like a manual transmission)
Re Speedometer: Well if I compare it to my GPS on the Dash Cam the Speedometer is about 2 mph "faster" than the GPS stamp at 70mph. That is with the standard wheels and tires at 5/32. I haven't calibrated this against a calibrated radar or lidar setup though.
