I got my car tinted and it has a bad glare in the rear glass. Is this normal?
Hello all!
I got my Maxima (2014) tinted about 3 days ago at a 3M local dealer. I got the CS35 on the back glass but I noticed this glare. I told the guys at the shop and they said it's normal and should go away in a day or two. It's been over 3 days and it's still the same.
What's your advice on this, should I wait it out to see if it dries or should I take it back to the shop? It's very disturbing while driving on large highways.
thanks,

Tint acts weird for sometime after putting on glass.
I'd give it a week given the weather changes then definitely show it to the shop if it doesn't go away
In the summer time it takes a few days, not this time of year. It's going to take a while for the tint to fully bond to the glass and all air bubbles removed.
I have never seen this in any of my cars with the exception of one time that I got some "ceramic" based tint that even 1 month after application, the starburst effect and "dirty" look was still prevalent. I had it replaced and never looked back. I say take it back.

It could be the tint, but at this point we gotta give the Tint Shop the benefit of the doubt and a chance to see if it clears up with some time.
OP, I would monitor the situation, and call the shop once a week with an update and inform them that if the issue doesn't resolve itself within a month, you're gonna expect them to remedy the issue. (remove and full refund). Then I'd go somewhere else.
Patience was never a virtue of mine. I leave a Doctor's Office if not seen in 15 min and send them a bill for missing an appointment (as they send bills if you missed theirs) if they don't inform me of a delay (we aren't talking emergency rooms here.) So perhaps the OP is more patient than I.

Side issue, but blame it to the bureaucracy and insurance crap load of work. Staff work at a redline RPM there. Believe me.
