Here’s my 2019 Max SL with mods .. opinions & suggestions?
Only had my Max for 2 months, few mods done so far much more to come.. exhaust , intake, interior mods etc. Let me know what you think & what I should do next.
- custom window decals
- after market carbon fiber trunk spoiler
- Matt black rear window spoiler
- custom vinyl wrap on windows pillar front to back giving the top a whole black roof look.
- 22” machine & black rims.
- low profile tires
- tiger claw vinyl headlight decal
- vinyl wrapped taillights with reverse cut out
- Alpine R series amp & (2) 12” subs w bass **** control
**photos are in no order & some are older so mods may be missing**
Since you asked for opinions... here are my 2 cents lol. Car looks sexy but that headlight sticker needs to go. Also what's the reasoning behind tinting factory smoked out tail lights? It already smoked out from the factory. Carbon fiber spoiler looks fire. Rims are fresh. Your next mod should be cat back system. So that means one with a Y-pipe it will add slight performance gain. Make sure you keep factory resonator or get one similar in size because otherwise it will cause the CVT to drone like crazy in highway cruising speeds. Trust me you don't want that, I already been thru that, it will kill your ear drums and sounds terrible. Motordyne is the way to go but its expensive. Anything else should be okay long as you get the right resonator.

No worries, I appreciate the feedback. I’ll def consider your tiger claw dislike lol. Got a bunch of compliments on it as well too tho. Also I had a bunch of suggestions that it would look sexier with a fully blacked out taillight & I agreed. The smoke look was nice too as is but I like it completely black better. I’m glad you mentioned the cat back system .. do you have a Max with that system already ? I was always curious speak with someone with experience ... I was highly thinking about doing the resonator delete bc I have a buddy of mines that did it & he has no droning issues with his ... all he did was resonator delete replace with straight pipe. I have heard the droning problems but mostly with muffler deletes ... but that’s just from researching diff vids/blogs.

Trust me if you replace or delete the resonator it will drone like crazy doesn't matter if you keep the mufflers. I have a Nismo system you can find my videos under Jon Bond on YouTube. My friend has the Motordyne and it sounds sick, even that comes with a resonator. What ever you do dont straight pipe it. You will have headaches and it sounds like garbage on highway cruise. I recommend Motordyne if you want to go all out with your maxima. If not get a axle back and call it a day. As far as intake goes I wouldn't brother unless a true cold intake finally comes out.
Not a huge fan of the wheels and absolutely hate the headlight/claw decal, but otherwise it looks great! I love that spoiler, what brand is it? I just replaced mine with an SR spoiler but now I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't see that one first. Also, you may want to rethink that "Alpine" sticker. In my younger/dumber days I had a big "Kenwood" sticker on my back window that ended up being an open invitation for someone to break into my truck and destroy my dash trying to steal my deck while I was visiting a friend at college. The only advertisement on my vehicles now is an NRA sticker. lol
Yeah agree with the others, the claws are a little tacky IMO and so are the wheels (which btw holy crap you must feel every imperfection in the road on those thin tires haha) Rest of the car is looking real great though! Love that dark gray color on the Maxima.

Ditto with other on axing the decals which just come off as "What's new at Walmart" additions. I can live with the wheels but darkening the tail lights means others might not see your brake lights soon enough to avoid hitting you. Brightness is a big deal here!. Solid choice on the rear deck spoiler! You have a great car that does not need the brand billboard rice effect.
Thanks for sharing.
Unless you're going put it on a dyno and spend some time tuning it, put all the money you're going to waste on engine "mods" in a big pile and burn it. And with the coming dark ages of inflation, you'd actually be doing mankind a solid by removing that cash from circulation. Thanks for taking one for the team.
Also, unless you've gone through what I have in the last two years with my permanent, un-treatable, moderate to severe neck injury that gives, and will continue to give me, pain and grief every single day of my life as a result of being rear-ended while sitting at a stop light by some dumb **** who was doing 60mph but thought her phone was more important than paying attention to the road, you may never fully realize how important it is to have brake lights that can actually be seen. I replaced my incandescents on my 5th gen with LED and the brightness was significantly increased. I'm even tossing around the illegal-in-Florida brake light strobe module. I don't care about the legality, I can't afford another neck injury. They're cheap enough, and I'll set it for 2 second flash or something short and see how it goes.
Trust me, brake lights that can be seen are a good thing.

So there may be a gun in the car, even better! And knowing you can't legally protect property with deadly force, Mr. Criminal isn't deterred one bit, and in fact, may be even more inclined to own a new firearm than a stereo, and will now most certainly be bringing more than a knife to a potential gunfight! Strong work, Mr. Law-abiding citizen!
ANY information you disclose to your enemy puts you at a tactical disadvantage. This includes the stupid ADT signs on your lawn/windows/doors, whatever. To any tech savvy crook, you just told him what digital tools he needs to defeat/hack/exploit your system.

user1- You win the award for the longest sentence I have read in a very long time. :-) Very sorry to hear about your neck injury.

User1 does bring home two points. 1st - Covering your tail lights is bad news...for you when you get hit!2nd - Distracted driving is the norm for many text tapping idiots. Maybe a strobe warning would help.
Where do you find something like that?

They can be found all over the place. Here is an example:

Nice look car man! What brand/shade of tint was used for the tail lights?
1. Like the wheels, but better go buy some itch cream for that rash you are going to get. Gawd that tire profile must give you a jarring ride.
2. Dump the decals. They detract. If you are a youngster and the youngster crowd is going with the decals then you are fine.
3. Spoiler in carbon fiber look is nice, esp. in black to go with rest of trim.
4. Love the partial taillight blackout.
5. Upper rear window "spoiler" is just fine, but not my cup of tea.
6. Love the blackout drip rail. Nice touch.
7. Door handles look fine in that OEM chrome; they complement the wheels.
8. Window tint goes with the overall blackout of the car.
9. Can't tell what you did to the "babies" adz.

My neck hurts just looking at his retarded pictures. Why oh why to people think it's cool to take pictures like this?
Max is tasteful overall, but the pictures are I'd cut down on the stickers by 50% too.
Actually the tail lights are not too bad because OP didn't tint the brake light and signal area so I think it looks decent BUT it looks very nice smoked out from factory I personally wouldn't touch it . Too each their own . Just get rid of the stickers please the machine is beautiful otherwise. lmao

hey man thanks , I’m not sure the brand but it’s wrapped taillights, I don’t think it’s tinted. My homeboy owns the business. When I talk to him I’ll get the deets ...

Hey guys to everyone asking about the low profile tires & how they ride, I actually had the same concern when picking out rims. The guys at the rim place promised me they wouldn’t rub or ride horribly so they let me try them out money back guarnteee & to my surprise it rides perfect still. I was shocked as you all would be. The longest I rode is 2 hours & ride was smooth. But I’m sure I won’t be going on any road trips in this vehicle this is just my baby not a traveling/family car.
Looks like you are having fun with your Maxima. It is amazing how the car appeals to all age groups, not just the under 40 crowd. Many of us are in the over 60+ demographic and enjoy the car as it sits. Ours is our main grocery-getter and occasional road tripper. For us it's the MPGs that makes us happy.>>>.well that and some solid punch when passing.
Question about the spoiler where did you get it cause I’ve been tryna get it plz ? I’ve checked eBay and it’s out I think.
YES ITS PRETTY MUCH GONE FOR GOOD. It was a business on eBay Selling aftermarket spoilers, it’s hydro dipped ... but yeah it’s gonna be def hard to find. I’ve been looking for it for a few friends ..
