Evening Everyone,

I am looking to troubleshoot an Air Conditioning fault when placed in the “On” Mode.

before I break into the Maintenance Manual for R+R, has anyone come across this issue before? What was the component that failed?

Has the belt and tensioner ever been replaced?

LT,

No issues within the system before this. Nothing has been replaced.

You may want to check the belt and tensioner. That is a lot of years and miles and it really sounds belt related. Could still be compressor, but i would start with the easy stuff first.

You should have also opened the hood and have a listen around the belt, tensioner and compressor area.
Are you the original owner? If not how many miles from those 196k are yours? Belt should be a 100k maintenance item.

Original Owner here. Admit-tingly, I adhere to a maintenance schedule strictly based on fluids.

Belts have never been changed.

Purchased Belt PN: 11720-JA10B today. Prior mechanics who serviced tires over tightened RH passenger Wheel; could not remove the Tire to R+R belt.

Will try oncemore tomorrow.

Interesting. I hope you'll find the problem soon.
Having high mileage (150k plus) original owners here is always welcomed. Have you ever had problems with the transmission? Fluid changes? Filter changed before?
