Akebono brake questions
Akebono brake questions
I have read and seen a few threads from folks adding Nismo/Sport 370z akebono brakes your their 8th gen.
I’m in a situation where I was wanting to upgrade my Nismo 370 brakes and subsequently swap the Akebonos over to the maxima as a “free upgrade”.
In the few tutorials I have seen on this it seems everything bolts up to the maxima with addition of 370z short banjo bolts, and my reason for the post> hacking up of the dust shields. Does anyone know if the 370z sport shields will bolt onto the maxima? I understand the work involved with removing dust shields, but would prefer a Cleaner instal less prone to rust and fall off versus taking a cut of wheel to oem ones. If anyone knows let me know. I suppose I could buy a set and try but figured I would ask first.

LMFAO.
Have you seen a 370z/g37 sport dust shield? It's pretty much a joke....
Either remove your current one or hack it up. Not worth the effort for something that's literally a joke of a dust shield.
If you're that **** then just order a new one from the dealer, they seem to be around $80 msrp, can get online for less shipped each dust shield.
But to answer your quesiton.... Yes both vehicles have bolt on hubs, I do not see why you can't use that dust shield on your vehicle.
I also don't see why you would but.... meh.
