thats a loaded question🤣 it has nothing do with gas mileage. It just help with the wind downforce one the car. Believe it or not it makes a difference since I had a car loaner without one felt the car swaying in a windy day and a same car with spoiler actually keep car down without much swaying

They make absolutely no difference performance, handling, MPG or otherwise.

On a production, passenger vehicle they’re about aesthetics only.

Don’t kid yourself and don’t let anyone else kid you either.

figure it's for looks mostly but it has to do something back there as far as mpg right?
big shelf on the trunk lid must do something.
there's a trunk lid with a wing at the junkyard with my color code. very tempting to see what it does.

on my bmw i did both front windows up, and down, at 80mph and immediately a 3mpg decrease with windows down.
that's allot. i like the maxima with no spoiler the 00's wing makes it look super lame, but if it gives alittle mpg i'm down.

all in moderation, or yes you can easily go off the deep end, to each their own i guess =), but like you have noticed our spoilers are small drop in the bucket with mpg
