Traded in my car yesterday for a 2018 F150 FX4. Other than those damn rattles coming from the backseat that I could never locate, I really enjoyed my brief year-long ownership of my Maxima. It was a great car and fun to drive, unfortunately living without a truck wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. Thanks everyone for all of your help working on the car and hopefully I was able to return the favor for some of you. If anyone is interested in my wheels or front lip, I'll be putting them on the classifieds this weekend. Take care.
Oh and btw if anyone else is thinking about selling their car, apparently the market is pretty hot for these right now. I got offers of $17k from Carvana and $17.5k from Vroom (2016 SL w/ 55k). I ended up getting the dealership to match Vroom on the trade-in, not bad considering I only paid $19k for it a year ago.
Good price you got. The Ford trucks have a pretty high sticker so it was wise you let someone else eat the depreciation by going for an 18.
Best of luck.

Yea you ain't kiddin, the original sticker on mine was $57k and I paid $35k. That trade-in had to hurt for the original owner. lol

Not necessarily. American cars/trucks are heavily discounted. That is factored into the resale price.
(also one reason Maximas have sh-t resale value - as others have noted, show me one person who paid close to MSRP)

Best of luck...I have owned a few Fords in my day......New ones...never worked out well for me......Lived at the dealer.....Can't ever do it again...Only consideration would be a 5.0 Mustang
Right behind you brother, my 17 Max is going in for some minor fixups (enough to get it through trade) and then off to another dealer this weekend for a trade-in (Not another Nissan, enough is enough). Lexus coupe. 2019. My 17 SR has just under 40K and has been nothing short of a complete lemon the past year and a half. I paid $30K and I'll get $21K which I will eagerly take. And the reason these are hot right now is Nissan has scaled back Maxima production to a trickle and definite orders. You can't dump $42K Maximas onto the market and let them sit for 9 months to give them up for $33K.
