Possible Transmission Problem

I have a 18’ Maxima SV with 62k miles. Bought it used with 36k miles. Only engine mod is an AEM air intake. I had the transmission fluid changed at a Nissan dealer @57k miles. A few days ago, it would randomly jerk when accelerating moderately. Only did this a few times over the past week and drove normally otherwise. I started driving it on Friday morning to head out of town and when i went to merge onto the highway, I noticed it would barely accelerate. The rpms would go to 5-6k but barely made it to 70. I recorded it and went straight to the dealer and dropped it off. I got a rental and headed out of town and got a call from the dealer saying they couldn’t replicate it. I’m going to have a tech ride with me when i get back in town to the dealer on Monday. Has anyone had or seen this issue before? Here’s a link to the video I recorded

Since the Nissan powertrain warranty is 5 years / 60,000 miles, and you have 62,000, the warranty has expired.

Hopefully Nissan will help you out with a replacement transmission.

It's obviously ****ed. Would be curious to know how much they charge you for the replacement.

I'm curious what happened , Did you need to change your transmission? I'm concerned about these infamous cvt transmissions

I have comparatively low mileage 65000kms --40000mile and am hoping to refresh the transmission fluid to mitigate any issues

let me know

The car actually drove like normal when i went back to the dealer to ride with the technician. There weren’t any transmission codes or check engine light. I traded the car in not long after.

I like my car, but I'm not prepared to deal with transmission issues post warranty. My hunch is that a breakdown within three years after the first five is extremely likely. A rough calculation suggests you wouldn't even be saving much if you keep the car post warranty versus trading it for a new car. This is not a car you want to take to 200k.
