SV Tech and SV sport same struts?
SV Tech and SV sport same struts?
So I have a 2010 SV TechPack and my girl has a 09 SV sport. Differences she has 19s, trunk spoiler, different rear bumper. I have 18s but the same things are both paddle shifters, both have strut tower support bars, back seats don’t fold down on both cars so I’m wondering do they both have the same suspension setup then? I bought eibach lowering springs but I want to change the shocks too they have 140k so can I run sport struts on my car with the eibach lowering springs? Thanks for any input

Only the sport comes with the sport tuned suspension. The link has all the packages available for all the trim levels.

You can certainly run the "sport struts"....if you can find them from Nissan, but they may be discontinued so you'd be hunting for NOS (new old stock) ones. Another option would be to try to find "Sachs" brand (OEM manufacurer) and see if they break out a separate P/N strut for the sport trim vs. other trims. You could try Rock Auto and see what they have.....might be cheaper anyways.
I have a '13 premium with tech and about 82K. The following is my plan for the next few weeks.....
- Going to likely replace the front struts with Nissan OEM and rear shocks as well. I'm thinking of new front lower control arms and springs by MOOG as I've had good luck with their stuff in the past. Retaining the stock 18" rims with Michelins for now, and already have a Stillen rear sway bar on it.
- Just bought a sport front bar and am soon going to swap. Might well be a PITA due to the steering rack, but hoping to be able to make the swap by loosening, not removing, the rack. Probly gonna do the struts/front control arms at the same time along with a brake upgrade. Ball joints are probably seeing their better days as well as LCA bushings by now.
When are you thinking of making a move with the springs/struts?? I can let you know what I find or are you not going to go that far with yours?
Have fun.

Don't quote me, but as I understand it, the sport-tuned suspension includes changes with front and rear spring rates, front and rear strut/shock valving, front stabilizer bar thickness, and I think that's about it other than the obvious larger wheel/tire combo.
