Heated Seat wiring

Hey,
So I am currently working on adding heated seats to my 97. I was following The Wizard's tutorial found here: https://maxima.org/forums/4th-genera...t-install.html
I wired everything up connecting the various colors and I connected the two whites together using a Mini Add a Circuit for power, my question is do I use the black wires for ground. I assume because the wiring diagram says so?

wire colors are different but checked continuity and all is good. The black wire is ground should I connect these like I did the white power wires?

Getting those heated seats wired up just in time for winter?

Yes, black is ground. Wire the black wires coming from your seats and the black wires from the switches to a common ground point.

I forgot all about my little writeup that I did 12 years ago until you posted. Glad you found it by searching. I'm glad the pictures are still showing up considering Photobucket is hosting them.

Any other questions, please let me know.

Where is the best place to screw down the ground, I attached a ring terminal to the ground btw. I know that under the center console the air bag box thing is there I could put it there or the ebrake bolt?

Any ground is good as long as it's bare metal and not metal that has been painted or has a coating on it. Go for the e-brake bolt.
