Question 2018 SL - can't remove Pre-Set radio stations

Here's the deal. I can create a pre-set radio stations no problem. However, there seems to be no way to delete/remove them. I tried removing the battery cable - stil there. These are regular radio staions - not SiriusXM. I also tried the invoking the battery saver fuse , pre-sets still there. This is weird. And Nissan has NO documentaion on this. Any assistance is appreciated.

It makes sense Nissan doesn't offer documentation on deleting presets. They don't have a way of doing it. Oh well.

You may not be able to delete presets, but surely you overwrite the presets. Sounds like the factory gives you say 10 presets (random number chosen), and you may only want 5, but when you cycle through your presets using the controls on your steering wheel, you're stuck with cycling through all 10 presets. Is that the gist of the problem?

I assume you have checked your owner's manual?

Must be some way to do a radio reset. This should get rid of them.

Correct . I can overwrite existing presets, yet can't delete any existing presets. I've never seen such a thing before. The owner's manual offers no guidance.
Thanks

I investigated the radio reset route to no avail. I thought about "unlocking" the SD card - I just don't want to corrupt the card. Yet, when I bought the car second hand, it lacked an SD card. Even without an SD card, deleting presets was impossible. Thanks

If you disconnect the car battery overnight, or pull the radio fuse overnight, the presets come back after its put back together?

Disconnecting the battery for a 1 minutes ought to do the trick. As for the radio fuse, I'll pull it, as it's the only thing I've yet to try. Thanks

I don't think I've been able to as well, but can I get an explanation on why it's a big deal if you can't? Like just cycle through the 5 or so of your presets you like? Not trying to be sarcastic or anything, just this has never popped into my head before lol. It's like trying to remove physical buttons 5-6 back when there were physical radio preset buttons cause you only want to use buttons 1-4.

That's normal behavior at least for both my 2016 and 2019 Platinum's Bose units

Thanks robtroxel. It may be weird to me, but knowing it's the norm is all I need to know. .

I just set the presets I’m not using to a station I hate... that way I know quickly which presets to avoid.
