ECU reprogram is a "MUST" after OEM MAF replacement?
ECU reprogram is a "MUST" after OEM MAF replacement?
I have an intermittent CEL with P0101 (MAF code) in my 2011 100k miles. Car drives beautiful with no problems at all. But I decided to go ahead and get a new OEM MAF from Courtesy Nissan. I cleaned the MAF a year ago but still, code pops up these days. Should it need dealer reprogram? A new MAF only or both? That's what I hear but never replaced MAF on this car before. I'm asking if it is necessary. Thanks.
I'd put the sensor in as soon as I get. I heard conflicting stories of some people just replaced the sensor and some needed a reprogram.

https://autovfix.com/mass-airflow-se...0reprogrammed.
According to this article it depends on the model of the car and should indicate in the instructions if the reprogramming is needed.
Let us know how it turns out.

There's a bulletin out for P0101, basically says you need to get the reprogram done to get rid of the code. I had the same issue, but a week or 2 after I changed the sensor the code went away. This was after having the code for about 4 months. It's been 2 months now so here's hoping it's for good.
