what is MAF code

I'm going to get the codes pulled today and i'm 99% sure its the MAf. What is the code that says it is a MAF problem.

I'm not sure if it will throw a code, I remember when I got my MAF replaced under warranty at the dealer they recorded it as the MAF making an O2 sensor read wrong making the fuel mix lean. I know that there was no SES or CEL when mine blew.

If you have an Autozone nearby, then it definitely won't hurt. If you let the dealer repair it, they're gonna charge you an hour's labor for the diag. fee. I'd get the code pulled, regardless if there is one or not, get a new MAF and install it yourself. If you have a warranty just take it to the dealer.

you may also get the P017? codes for lean bank or rich bank. I got those, replaced the MAF and max was back.

and the other is for ignition signal but ALL ignition coils have been replaced whithin the last year or so.

any ideas? i still believe its the MAF but i want some input

The P0325 knock sensor code does not cause a SES light, and the code is not due to knocking but due to improper voltage signal being sent to the ECM.

I have yet to see a maf set a 1320 code--mafs usually set a p0100(maf sensor) or the system lean code I for got the # for it--most bad mafs dont even set codes unless it really is a problem my maf never set a code--my car just ran ruff--then i put my maf in another max and that car ran ruff so that how i knew it was the maf---but 1320 is the coils--if u got them replaced clear the code and if it comes back then u need to find out which coil or coils is bad

Some say it is to prevent turbulence right before the sensor and I think it may act as a last defense for the engine and sensor to make sure nothing gets in there. If you are wondering if you should take it off or not, I think the rule is to keep it on as it won't effect performance for the better if removed.

I also have hesitation and rough idle. changed coils and plugs nothing changed. SES light on codes p0171, p0174 (lean banks) plus codes p0464 and p0500. I wonder if the MAF could be my problem too.
