2013 Nissan Maxima bluetooth streaming not working

So my main source for music in my '13 Max is bluetooth streaming but today it suddenly stopped. I have unpaired and paired my phone multiple times and it always connects but there is no sound. The music box feature and cd player work fine but no Bluetooth. The navigation screen shows wait track is playing and the time of the track so I know it's playing but there is still no sound. I've tried everything I can think of.

If disconnecting your car battery for 1/2 hour doesn't correct the problem, try pairing up a different phone to rule out problems with your phone.

i went this route. it also upgrades the sound quality. i still use the car for calls but the audio i have routed through this to the rca in the console.

supports the best bluetooth codecs. the cars bluetooth only support sbc and in my opionion sounds terrible. almost as bad as xm radio.

cheers
