Broken spring/coil in front passenger shock...
Heya again max fam!
So I just got off the phone with my local shop and they just finished putting in new spark plugs and the top dog-bone motor mount.
They also did a drain and fill on the CVT.
For a few weeks I have been hearing a clanging sound from the passenger side front wheel area like dropping a wrench.
They said the spring is broken and I need to replace the front shocks at least to be able to pass inspection.
It has been driving fine other than the noise. I was thinking of just replacing with a new set of shocks and struts since the car is 11 years old and still has the originals.
What are the best and some descent kits I can get? Looking to make the ride smoother if possible at least as good as factory?

Ok thanks! I am looking at ordering some right now.
What about Sachs? Are they the OEM shocks? I could find Sachs rear shocks but not struts/springs.
What are some good brands for wheel bearings? Moog? Detroit axle?

i'm not sure who is the OEM on a 7th gen.
Sachs is good, they may not make a strut spring assembled.
As for bearings, I'd look for Timken. Moog is usually a safe bet too. I have no experience with Detroit Axle

Sachs struts - https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...ion,strut,7584

I'd stick with either Timken or Nissan for bearings. Moog does suspension and steering, but I don't believe they do bearings. If you meant Eaton Detroit for springs, they have good products.....https://www.eatondetroitspring.com
