leak after hard rain

2018 Maxima....after a hard rain for a few hours the front cup holder is half full of water. It drips down through sunglass holder. Anybody else have this issue and how did you fix it? Thank you! Oh btw...NO sunroof on this car.

curious how and if you got this fixed? My 21 Max plat is one week off the lot and I just noticed the same thing. After a moderate to heavy rainfall. Above the sunglass holder its wet. Front cup holder was submerged. And so was the smartphone holder...it soaked my usb cables in there.

You have a major problem with this leak and it should be fixed using your vehicle warranty. That much water coming in will lead to future electrical and mold problems.

I did a ghetto fix on it but it worked fine. I cleaned the gasket area on top of the windshield with a rag and some brake clean, then used my finger and smeared two light coats of black Permatex RTV across the whole top of the windshield gasket area I used some blue painters tape to mask it off before smear job. Leak is completely gone and the RTV blends right in. Whole repair cost me around 8 bucks.

Just wanted to post an update on this one. Took it to the dealer and they fixed it. They had the vehicle for about a week. According to them the problem was a pin sized hole in the trim piece between the windshield seal and the external side of the vehicle. They took apart the whole roof and A pillars to inspect. In case anyone else has this issue, check your trim for tiny holes.

Thanks for the update. Finding the leak is always a challenge. Usually involves removing and resealing the windshield.
