2018 with 42000 miles. I sucked out almost 3 quarts, measured amount very carefully then refilled and repeated using this contraption. I bet you can tell which is the old and new. This is going to make some of you OCD people want to change it out before 60k.

 

I have a similar suction device I use for changing the oil on my Jaguar XKR. The car has been configured to do. As for the maxima, this from the factory Did you insert the pick-up tube into the trans filler port? The pictures of the CVT fluid are telling!

 

I stuck it down the dipstick tube until it bottomed out.

 

You are only able to get 3 out?

 

3 quarts out is not a bad thing as you would improve the overall CVT oil condition. Probably even better to repeat this process 2 times for even better quality. How much does the CVT oil cost per Qt?

 

Yup only 3 quarts each suck job. I'm going to do it again this weekend. 20 bucks a quart on Amazon. NS3 of course.

 

What device are you using to suck the fluid out ?
