Hi! I purchased a 2009 Maxima and everything is great on it, but, the remote engine start isn’t working probably. It will try and start the engine but the engine will not turn over. I tried looking it up on google but can’t find anything. Has this happen to anyone or does anyone know what this could be? Thanks

 

Well, I am unaware of remote start being an option of our 2009 maximas. I thought mine was decked out but it didn't come with a remote start option. Perhaps someone else could chime in but if you have remote start, it was most likely put in as an aftermarket add in.

 

7th Gen Maxima didn't come with a remote start option. You can put in an aftermarket one though. Sounds like you might have one in from the previous owner. If there is one you can take off the trim under the steering wheel and the unit should be there somewhere. Come back with pictures/the brand and someone might be able to help.
