Question high idle RPM? (1500~)

seems weird to have a high idle while in park with no A/C, any easy fixes as to why?

Well there are a few reasons that come to mind for a high idle
1.) Vacuum leak
2.) Dirty Throttle Body
3.) No water in the lines to the Throttle Body assy
4.) Idle relearn wasn't performed after some maintenance

All are relative easy fixes although purging the water lines to the throttle body assy can get a little messy.

So, How Many Miles?
Any Maintenance Done?
What year and model?
Any lights on the dash?
Any Codes?

I've never done any sorr of that kind of maintenance so you're def right in that regard, no lights on the dash, bout to cross 100k so I'm trying to take care as much as possible to keep it going to 200!

Hi I've had the same problem, the solution to mines was the Mas airflow sensor.

Mines had a vacuum leak at around 105 k miles which led to high RPM. I would check for cracked rubber hoses behind the engine.

solved! throttle body service by Nissan, cost 150

if you don't service in time, you'll end up needing to change the mas air flow sensor is what the rep told me

Can you please explain what did they do to the throttle body exactly? did they tell you? Was it cleaning it or the reprogramed the idle?
