Does the nissan dealer always give your info to sirius XM when you go in for service?
I noticed the last few times I have gone in that I always get a letter for sirius after a few weeks.
I don't read the whole thing but the beginning just states that I came in for service and then I think the rest is about a special deal for sirius xm.
Not really sure if I like that they just start giving info out to other companies, not sure what other companies they give my info out to

Well, you are talking about the "secret" data mode we all have where the car relays its vital stats periodically even if you turn the Nissan communication mode "Off". There is still a disclaimer screen telling you that it is not really off after all. I wonder if once the 3G modems built into the earlier 2016-2018 Maximas go offline this spring, that will take care of itself. For those with 2019s+, there is a chance the system would also communicate through the WiFi built into the car if you have set it your car to talk to a specific router..... say at home.
