Brakes and lugnuts

I'm a Motorweek fan and of the late Pat Goss. On one of his segments he discussed lugnuts and how the new ones are capped and they can swell and they will get hard to remove. I first hand found out that my lugnuts had changed size and my oem tire wrench would not work. Went to the local dealer to get new ones...$255 for all of them. And they said get aftermarket lugs. So I got a set of solid lug nuts from Z1 Motorsports for $88.

What rotors are you guys going with? I warped a power stop rear rotor. Anything better out there?

eBay brakemotive drilled and slotted ( disclaimer: Am not paid for this).

rotors most likely warped because you over torqued them

PowerStop is a reputable brand, although I guess it is possible that ypu got a bad one, or improper install, or even a hanging calber/pad. I dont use my brakes that much as most of my driving is highway so I really cant comment on what is better as I run non slotted or drilled rotors.

Note likely, I had my torque wrench checked to a new one. Its still accurate. See some good info on the brakemotive parts.

+1 on the brakemotive rotors, I have them on my Max and love them. I even put them on my F150, they are great and the cost is very reasonable.

Here is my 2016 Maxima lug nut problem and solution.Nissan OEM wheel lug nuts are two piece, these aftermarket nuts are one piece.

Walmart.com also sells the Dorman 611-294 lug nuts.

I put drilled & slotted Centric (3500 grade material) on my 2014 Max. I got cheaper ones 1st, & they warped in short order. The Centric discs perform well.
Buy quality, especially brake parts.
