Four "BEEPS" when starting the engine, anybody?

Hello everybody,

Been having something weird happening for the past couple of months.

Every time I start my Max, I hear for "beeps". I had an issue with the alternator (in a different post) that was caused by yours truly not pushing the dipstick all the way in which meant an alternator rebuild and about half the dipstick worth of engine oil missing.

I was sure that the four "beeps" are the Max's way of letting me know the oil level is low, but now that I topped the oil up and it still beeping, I'm thinking it might be something else.

I should mention that the car is driving great and there are no warning lights or signs (except for the beeps of course)

Any ideas?

What made you think that the beeps are connected to low oil level?

I think I saw something when I googled it a while ago.

There is also no visual low oil level warning as far as I know.

All I can think of is
1.) Driver seatbelt chime
2.) Passenger seatbelt chime or
3.) Low keyfob battery level

All of these should be accompanied by a visual indication on the dash.

1.) Driver seatbelt chime - I buckle my seatbelt as I always didnso that's not it, also - if it was the seat belt it would have kept chiming while driving
2.) Passenger seatbelt chime - same as the driver's belt
3.) Low keyfob battery level - there is a visual graphics on the screen for that and actually it gave me that warning a couple of days ago, but the four beeps have been there for months
