Thoughts on a 2016 platinum

Good Day all new member here looking for some advice and guidance. I've always liked the Maxima and am currently interested in a 2016 Maxima Platinum with 263000kms on it. The owner is asking 11500 for it. What are your thoughts on Maximas with such high mileage? Anything I should really be looking at that are problematic?

Get a dealer diagnostic report before you buy. Check the CVT, suspension creaks, service dates, and brakes. Was is mostly highway miles?

With that many miles, roughly 163,420 the car should have had a lot of maintenance done. If it were me, I would be looking for the following things to have been done: the spark plugs changed, the serpentine belt and check all the pulleys, the CVT fluid changed at least 3 or 4 times along with the external filter, the suspension and shocks changed along with checking the engine torque struts, the anti-freeze and hoses changed at least once, the brake pads and maybe even the rotors, and since the car is almost 7 yrs old I would check the battery and ensure that the TPMS are changed too. These are the things that have failed on my car over the years. I'm sitting at 185,000 miles and currently my car is down because my brand-new belt was eaten by a bad pulley and my appointment is next week to have it fixed.

Let us know if you get it or not. I would also add that if the major maintenance items are not done that could be a negotiating tool as well. Good luck.
