Purchased a 2018 platinum with the black interior ,wanted other color options but that year only came in Black and Tan ,then other options were offered starting in 2019
that being said I’d like to upgrade to a different color so I was wondering if anyone knew of the difference in seat design from the “s” standard model cloth seat to the top line platinum
besides the obvious of climate and lumbar options I’m interested in actual seat differences
katzkin offers customizable options but only for the “s” model for obvious reasons as no one wouid want to change out a leather interior ,just me !
if you have any knowledge of the differences I’d appreciate some input
Im wondering if I was to purchase a kit designed for the “s” model couid I get it to work on my seats . I’m trying to avoid going the full custom route

The first thing that comes to my mind is that the Platinum and SR come with diamond stitching which is not present on the SV or SL trim leather seats. The S seats might not have the thigh extensions on the driver's seat but I'm not sure.

The seat geometry itself is largely the same I think

I actually looked into it a little cause I wanted a dark red leather interior too, then the Anniversary edition came out. You could swap out those seats too if you can find a wrecked one haha
