If you want a 2019 or newer, they're literally all the same car. Only difference is which trim you'll get and that's based on what features you want.

They got rid of the SL trim so I think either SV or SR (the sportier one) is the best deal.

If you want to save a little money and like the pre-facelift better, the 2018 would be the best IMO has AA/Carplay and the engine/powertrain are all the same basically going forward.

2019 or newer gets rid of the memory card on the radio, car has a refined look with the latest headlight taillight combo and led turn signals. Go for a Platinum. Much more std equipment. Like heated steering wheel

One of the last of the years when they were a true sports sedan. After 03......went down hill in my opinion. Then the introduction of the CVT....forget it.

I hear you. It's a hard car to get rid of. I keep saying I'll get a new one when it dies but it will not die. Has 300,00kms on it and has no real issues

I definitely hear you there. The manual transmission is a blessing. I hear the 8th gen maxima has a reliable transmission because nissan worked out lots if the kinks. Hopefully when/if I pull the trigger I'll I'll able to maintaining properly

I can confirm that the navigation hasn’t changed one bit since 2019 - even though the firmware versions differ, they have all the same bugs.
Nissan is decades behind others.

I still have the 2003 with 258K now...Valve stem seal leaking and I'm going to pull the motor and take car of it. Pull the heads maybe clean up the ports a little throw in larger valves and a cam, fortify the engine with ARP Rod bolts, main Studs, and head studs and reinstall it!

Nice work maintaining the 03. What kind of problems are you seeing with the 7th and 8th generations?
