2005 Max Cooling Issue

Look at the temperature gauge

I was sitting at a Whataburger drive thru for an extended amount of time and I noticed passenger side of my hood started "SMOKING" I checked this morning, and there seems to be a leak around around power steering fluid. Both hoses around that area show leakage. More pressing is that the temparature gauge SHOT up to the "H" level and my "battery" and "oil" warning lights started flashing as I sat in the drive thru. The car has coolant in it, so not sure what is the issue there, but luckily I was able to drive home and park the car

You more than likely have a lower radiator hose that's leaking. I drove my car for roughly a month smelling coolant and when I finally got it checked that was the issue. Btw, my coolant level never went down.

Could you hear the fans kicking on in the drive thru?

Thanks...I'll take it in to have my radiator checked out. Also noticed that coolant is still in the reservoir. Also, not sure if I heard a fan, but definitely felt warm air rushing in the cabin below around my foot area

Its the radiator fan assembly is defective. Kinda an expensive fix @ nearly 400 to fix parts/labor; shopping around

If it's just the fan assembly itself it should only be a few bolts and the connector plug to get it changed out and a junkyard replacement should be $40ish, if youre mechanically inclined its an easy fix
