2016 maxima won’t accelerate

Just bought a 2016 Nissan maxima S 2 months ago now has 56000 miles on it and I’m having acceleration issues, car will be fine, then came to stop and went to go but had no acceleration gas pedal would not respond at all no warning lights came on turn car on and off 3 times then the 4th start it wouldn’t start so I held key up next to push start button and it started but struggled to start, rpm and spedomotor flickered for a few seconds an then car started, then I had acceleration again gas pedal responded normal any ideas what might be going on? this is 3rd time it happened to me this month and my diagnose appt w nissan isnt for another 2 weeks, I’ve also had the battery light flicker a few times when I accelerate hard but never on the same day I had the acceleration problem

No Forward Power

Keep us posted. Mine, 2016 Platinum, did something like that last night. No power at all for going forward. Reverse seemed fine. Engine would rev in neutral. Did get a group of warning lights at the same time, ABS/brake/stability control, and forward collision detection for a bit. After a few minutes I backed up a bit and everything went away. Not a good feeling.

Fix?

Check the alternator. Post on another thread seem to believe that is the problem, and new OEM only alternator will fix it.

I took it to a shop they replaced alternator and battery and then an hour after driving it it did the same thing but this time when I pressed the gas it slowed me down as if I was pressing break, I got abs light traction light and steering light, I strolled off to a side street an then the car died on me and wouldn’t start at all I had to get it towed. I’m going to take it to Nissan today cause I read a thread were a few people had same issue an it needed to be replaced with a genuine OEM alternator from Nissan. It’ll be a few weeks before they can replace it but from what I’ve read it’s the alternator and do not replace it with any aftermarket alternater it needs to be the 550$ alternator from Nissan themselves
