MaxxTuning Lip Drama

So very odd story to tell so I made a post 3 years ago wanting to purchase a MaxxTuning front lip I then get a message from “Zachary913” that “Designate72” was skiing one so I reached out in hopes to purchase we go back and forth and set up shipping arrangements and the man goes ghost so then I come back to the furoms and my post is deleted…. What’s going on here ? Scamming in 2024 is insane if you ask me thank god I filed to get my money back but for someone like “Designate72” to scam when he’s been a long time member doesn’t look good

I suspect that Hollet_Manwill person and Zachary913 are the same person. Zachary913 has zero posts. He contacted you on the very same day he signed up on the ORG, 1/6/2024. Very suspicious. Who signs up for the Org, never posts, but reaches out to an Org member to notify them about a part for sale from someone else? Doesn't add up.

I can also tell you that the email on file for Designate72 is not Hollet-Manwill@outlook.com, but Zachary's email is XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX@outlook.com. See the striking resemblance?

I'm also not seeing any FS threads by Designate72 selling the lip in question. Do you have a link?

And the ORG never deleted your thread, it got moved. Says so plain as day in the screenshot.

Hopefully you get your money back.

In a day or so, I will move this thread to the Feedback forum.

This is a common scam and happens on all forums. The scammers look for want to buy ads and reply with 3rd party contacts. So and so has what you want, email them... same old tactic.
