Is there a difference between the 3.5 in a 2006 and 2007 maxima?

 

Is there any difference with the engine between 06and 07? Can the engines be swapped between the two?

 

Same engine in both model years. The 06 utilizes a 5spd automatic or 6 spd manual, whereas the 07 was only available with the Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT). As a result, the 07's got different oil pans.
