I'm tryna build a sleeper out of my maxima, and one of the mods I want to go ahead and do is cams and injectors. I want to know if I can fit z or Infiniti performance cams on the 7th gen vq. And any other suggestions for power would be welcome (I know cvt's hate horse power, but i plan on swapping it eventually)

 

Look at JWT cams if you're convinced you want to go that far. The older VQ35DE cams aren't compatible and the if I remember correctly, VQ35HR cams are marginally more aggressive if at all.
