2007 CVT Operating temperature?
2007 CVT Operating temperature?
I have a 2007 which is having what seems to be an overheating issue. When I plugged in my OBD2 and scanned live data while driving aggressively, the temperature did not exceed 2 degrees C. I am wondering if my temp sensor is faulty, or if the CVT operates at an ungodly cold temperature.
thanks.
thanks.
It takes 20mins to get the CVT to operating temperature. So, yes, it will take it some time to get the temp up.
For example, I drive the car on the highway at 60 mph for 20min to check my CVT fluid after I service it to confirm I have the correct amount fluid in the CVT.
This required time duration to reach operating temperature is why you should never beat up on your CVT when it is cold, though you should never really beat up on your CVT; the CVT just can't take it.
To confirm your sensor take it for a long drive and then check the temp.
