Continously killing alternators.

Hi everybody, I have a 2011 nissan maxima, in the last year I have gone through about 6 alternators. Aftermarket and even 1 direct from nissan, the same mechanic did the work and I keep blowing through this alternators. Can anyone suggest something else that may be causing this. Any help is appreciated

Go with a Denso alternator from Rock Auto. That should hold you over for a while.

By chance, is any oil dripping onto and into it?

Im driving a second or third hand 2010 at 100kmiles, I inherited at 70kmiles about three years ago. I ate through a new alternator every year, at the most inconvenient times while I was driving it would die on my. Turns out my power steering oil was leaking onto the alternator and that would fry it, so I replaced the whole power steering system except my rack and pinion. Last month I also had to replace the plug, the plastic was so old and broken that it would slip off, and that would make you think your alternator was bad.
