Walbro pump makes idle high???

hi there

i just installed a Walbro fuel pump last week. I have noticed that my idle speed is now at about 900 rpm up from about 600 before the install. I was wondering if this was a common phenomenon?

I will readjust my idle soon. Please let me know if these instructions are correct for setting idle:

1. Disconnect TPS connector
2. Adjust Idle screw to desired rpm
3. turn off engine
4. Reconnect TPS connector
5. Reset ECU???

Not sure if I need to do step 5, but I guess it wouldn't hurt.

Thanks

Don't know if the raise in idle speed is common when you upgrade your fuel pump. It could be. On the other hand, your steps to adjust the idle speed are correct. Make sure your engine is all warmed up before you adjust it.
