SUSPENSION QESTION ... Koni? Tokico? to Coilovers which one????

I need new shocks for my car bad! I would like to get a pair of new shocks but am not sure which to buy. From what I have heard on the other maxima web. (maxdriver), the Tokico's are a sham and go bad in less then 10k miles with a harsh spring. I have Intrax springs on now and don'y want to waste the 370 bucks the tokico's cost. What about the Koni's?

BUT. I ALSO would like to drop my car more and get a Weapon R (circut) coilover mount. DOes anyone have this? good? Will tokico's work with this? How about the Koni's? I know those are front inserts...can you get that to work on the Weapon R's? I know this route is more expensive but much cooler....

What should I do?????????

Coilover convertion? but which shocks?

OR
Just get new shocks? But which ones?

Please HELP

As far as I can tell, there's no good reason not to get the KYB AGXs.

Get AGX and Ground Control if you want maximum performance. Not Weapon R.

Sounds like a little bit of owner bias to me!

Owner bias: Probably true.

Angry that I bought a superior product, not true. I don't like the ghetto lowrider look, I bought mine to handle, not to be so low that I can't go over acorns in my path on the road.

Look at the spring rates on the Weapon R. If you want performance, they are not the way to go. The spring rates are retarded. You would be all over a road course with those.

Like I have always maintained, Weapon R makes crap. If you want to get as low as possible sure get them, if you want to handle, don't.

You ask for proof. Take a look at how many race/autoX cars use Weapon R products. Then look at how many use Ground Control. There's your proof.

Do I have any experience with Weapon R coilovers? Have I owned them? Nope. I also haven't owned a Kia, and yet I know they suck. I never owned that Tornado intake supercharger thingy, and yet I know that sucks too.

just because you payed more doesn't mean it's superior...and popularity doesn't prove anything...yes GC is more popular i will give you that...but it doesn't prove there better...

being all over the road w/WR's...once again...you have NO proof to support your claim, until you get some...shut your mouth, its people that you that go around bad mouthing the product and get everyone to afraid to try it, you people are the reason i get 10-15 emails a day asking about Weapon R's, why?, cuz im the only one w/experience that can actually justify anything about them.

Professional and dedicated racers go with what's the best product. They aren't swayed by marketing and rumors, they try different products out and base their decisions on that. Still, they aren't using Weapon Rs.

Lets not resort to yelling and crying about someone badmouthing others product and telling the other to shut up. Try to stay on topic here. The topic is coilovers.

I've made my point and you've made yours. I think he can make his decision based on what's been said on here, what he's read in other threads, and what his plans are for his car. That should be sufficient for him to make an educated decision on which coilover system is for him.
