Smallest pulley for V2

Whats the smallest pulley that can be used on a V2? What amount of boost do they run? I've got a 3.33"@ 10-11psi.

I too fint this a bit optomistic, but the V2 does have a higher gear ratio than the V1 and does provide a bit more boost on the same size pulley.

Go to vortechs web page and look for the pullies, they are their. Be sure to calculate maximum impeller speed and be sure your not over driving the SC.

Yeah man. When I first put in my boost guage it read 6-7 psi with a 3.33" and I was ****ed but I realized that my belt was a little loose so tightened her up and boom! 10-11 psi. What pulley do you have on your V1? What press?
Hey Martigras, hows that aftercooler coming?

I was just checking out your site. How is a s/c w/ nos? Hows that aftercooler project coming? I was checking them out about six months ago on Vortechs site. It looked like the mustag kit might work but too much $$$

After cooler project is shelved until I get the Middle East Variable Intake sorted out. I need a few parts and am also waiting for my Fields AFC to arrive. I need the fields to help with the nitrous. My EGTs are still kinda low, so I need to lean it out a bit to get some more power out of it. I should take this package to the dyno in a few weeks, then to the track to hope for 12's with drag radials.

I think I might have the AWIC done by May. I have the battery relo kit just need to do it. Once this is done I can decide on the location of the AWIC and water container. These measurments are key to doing this right the first time. I want the tubing for the AWIC to be as unrestrictive as possible so I have under 0.5psi of boost loss. Then once this is done, go back to the dyno and the track. I will even mix in the ice water to see what fun that can bring!

Please keep me updated! I'm doing my battery relocation this weekend so I'm gonna have a nice big space right there! With s/c and nos you should have no prob running 12s. I'm supprised you havent done it already, but I'm sure you will soon!

there's a 2.62 on the vortech site. However, thats some serious boost for this motor and some serious compression ratio's. You'd need some extremely high octane fuel to keep from detonating, that and i'm thinking something would let go, be it a head gasket or connecting rod. but hey give it a try and let us know!
