smoked a new jetta

well, i'm happy. my first race with my first mod. comin home from seeing the phantom fo the opera with my girlfriend in the car. heading down the highway, passing everyone (as usual) when this jetta starts trying to keep up. its a middle aged lady i notice, which is odd, but she starts acting like she wants to play. so we do several high speed runs, all of which she gets her doors blown off. most notable, both doing 80, she guns it, i wait and give a car, floor it, and by 105 i'm a car ahead. shut it down cuz of traffic, but it was fun nonetheless. Just excited and thought I'd share my story. back to college tomorrow... never get to drive my car when i'm up there...

What year and what model of the Jetta did you race? If it was a 1.8turbo then that is impressive. Either way good kill.

Congrats...you just beat a 115 HP 2.0 or 80-90 hp TDI.

The 180hp 1.8T or 175hp Vr6, or even the new 200HP vr6 you will not beat if you run a 15.6.

Well, I don't know exactly what year or model it was, but it was the newest body style and it kept up better than i expected it to. i raced an alero the next day that wasn't really a race, it was me walking all over him. the jetta did better than i expected, especially on the highway, which is my cars sweetest spot. And the 15.6 was completely bone stock. without my k&n drop in, or oscai or anything. i now have the berk intake, which if I understand everything, will help the most on the highway. not only that, but it sounds so dang good!
