1990 Max rear susp question

Just curious i was underneath a 1990 SE 5 spd the other day
and i saw something interesting... its hard to describe
but it was connected to both of the suspension links and
had a little hydraulic unit on it... sits very close to the
sway bar, in the middle of the car.
I don't remember my 93SE having it so its kinda curious.
Any ideas?

I'll see if i can't think of a better way to describe it later.

does your 90 have ABS?
there was some kind of auto load-leveling junk on some years. neither of my cars had it, but I think it was on the ABS cars. ???

Probably the load sensing brake bias adjusters.

Does that come with ABS, because I don't think I have one on my '91 SE?

I got a pic of my rear suspension (hardcopy) and all I see under there are the 2 load-sensing thingies on each side above the main suspension member. A spring on each and brake lines going in and out of them... I have ABS btw. Nothing in the middle.

that sounds about right... a load sensing doohickey
it was on a car with ABS...
btw we did a sidejob on that car..
4 wheel brakes, stainless steel lines, clutch master cylinder
remove and replace and brake master cylinder replace

very fun job

that reminds me why the heck are the rear brakes on our
max's so freakin small? cookies are bigger... dang

El cheapo Nissan, plus, soft suspension equals mucho nose dive under hard braking, which means no weight over rear wheels.
