Hi my name is Dayle and I have an intake question. I want to put an intake on my '86 maxima, is doesn't seem to hard, just get a cone filter and an adapter. I just need to know what do you do with that little black hose that goes into the factory airbox?, it looks like some kind of exhaust recirculation hose(so some exhaust gas can be led back in through the intake and be burned again i'm guessing). I hope you guys know which hose i'm talking about. When looking down at the airbox, its the hose that enters the box right next to the front shock tower, if this helps. Any info is appreciated.

 

Just put a small breather filter on that hose that runs from the AIV (Air Injection Valve). They are about $10 from autozone.
