Argggh! *3* wheel studs broke!
I'm changing my winter tires to my summer set tonight. Was only going to be a two week stint too since I was going to put my '02 Altima rims on soon. Anyways, I loosen all the lug nuts and jack up each corner. To my chagrin, on a front tire, the lug nut I thought I loosened was hard to unloosen. I lowered the tire back to the ground and again used my breaker bar to loosen it up enough for the wrench. After several turns I realized the worst had happened. Either the bolt was being chewed up or the threads were. POP! The lugnut came off with a broken stud in in. No biggie. It is still reasonably safe to drive with 4 on, I'm thinking to myself.
Next thing I know the next wheel stud next to it breaks. And one on the other side breaks too!
Leave it to me to be lazy this one time and get NTB to put my winter set on last December. The Shiets probably torqued way too tight or else didn't thread the lug nut on by hand before using the air wrench... I am so ****ed right now.

Geez!!! Well, I'll have to wait a little longer for pics. Are you going to replace the studs yourself? Its not hard to do at all.

I had previously coated the rear studs with anti-seize compound and was pleased that they came off so smoothly and easily.
In any case, I was planning to put on the Altima wheels in two weeks. This was the stock set I just put on in place of my winter set. So pictures in two weeks definitely...

Make sure you only tighten the nuts to 80 ft-lbs. The manual for my 02 has it in bold that you should only tighten the lug nuts to 80 ft-lbs.
