Currently i have a universal cat back exhaust job on my max, its no brand name, some guy did it for me at a muffler plae down the highway, there is just a straight pipe from the cat, back to my obx muffler. Now if i put a RT high flow Cat on, would that make a difference, would i feel the extra 14 HP and 16 ft pds of torque like it says. I have 111,000 miles on my max so i think im in neeed of a new cat any way. Also i was wondering if it would make my max a lot louder, i love loud! So if any one has this on there max plaese let me know what it has done for you. Thanx

Uhhhh... no.

That's combined with a y-pipe and intake.

The RT cat will help out just a little with the entire exhaust done.

 

If your taking about the advertising on custommaxima.com for the cat, look closely. The dyno charts provided ar with a full catback system and RT cat. It's misleading, I know. expect about 2-4 Hp max and a slight increase in sound.

 

If your car has highwer miles 11K like you said yours does, then you may feel more of a difference then somone who has a nice clean cat.

Maybe take yours off and have a look in it to see what kind of shape it is in. If it doesnt need it then you wont see a big difference.

u wont gain any more than 1 HP =)

 

Expect little to nothing wiht a R/T cat. I had a R/T cat & it did nothing. Even when i was running a 100 shot i didnt do much if any.
