I don't know what they are, but those others are a lot of gap for a lowered car. My Integra had a 2 finger gap on 15s with a .75-1.0in drop. But the Maxima has a lot more gap to start off with.

My 96SE with H&R has 3-finger-gap all four corners. I have 225/50/16's.

you guys do know that not everybody has the same size finger

what we need is somebody to measure stock heights for the Maxima and then you could compare different drops from different springs.

just a thought

I also measure from the wheel well to ground. But that number is much harder to remember than "3-finger".

yeah, outer tire diameter has a good roll in the "finger" gap too... bigger tires obviously will have less gap, not meaning the car is any lower for example.

Intrax's

I got Eibach's with 18ins with a two finger gap.
MGokool, your drop looks mean. How is the ride. How does it take pot holes, and what struts are you running. Livin in NY has it's ups and
downs (the streets suck!)Holla

The ride is a little bumpy, but not as bad as those honda's where they bounce around on the road all the time...still running the stock struts, and the ride is still fairly smooth.

Re: how many finger gap......Progress spring?

As usual, no one with Progress responding. Not many have them, I guess. I have less than 2 fingers in front (about 1") and 3 fingers in the back (about 1-3/4"). I set up for autocross, not looks. My car is corner balanced to within 1 lb.

What springs are you on and how much are they supposed to lower you versus what they actually did?

I'm on Cattman coilovers. They can go lower, but then they don't necessarily handle as well. I'm about 26" front, 26-5/8 rear.

Join the beige club!

Nice ride. 20% tint on the glass? Anyway, a bit hard to see the drop in those photos because of the lighting (black tires, dark gap). If you get a chance, can you measure the height of the wheel arch front and back?

OK, another question for a "progressive" like you: How's the ride? I've heard someone say those springs are close to stock (I have an SE) and someone else said they were good enough to autocross. So, I'd like to know if they are comfortable enough as daily springs, but can be tightened enough with the AGXs to really tighten the car. I guess anyone with AGX could talk about that .... Um, do you have bumpstops?

Odd. All the specs I've seen on here say there is more drop with Progress springs than with the Eibachs.

Hey OrginalMadMax

I went outside and measured the wheel gap with a ruler. The space in the front is about 2.4" and the back is about 2.6". Which is more than I expected it to be. Oh well it will look lower when I get my stillen body kit next week.

Hmm ... thanks ... if you get a chance with a tape measure, the wheel gap would be more informative as a comparison, since we all have different wheels. I just went back to stock size on my original rims; got tired of the road beating I was taking from 235/45zr17's. Same diameter, though.

Im not quite sure what you are after. The distance I measured was from the top of the tire to the bottom of the wheel well. What measurement do you need? I have the same size tires that you have (235-45/17).

The standard measurement is from the center of the wheel arch on the fender to the ground. ie - my coilovers are 26" in front (the wheel gap is about 1") and 26-5/8 in back (about a 2" gap). The wheel gap is pretty subjective. It isn't like I used a level across the top of the tire to establish the height.
