Installed my suspension last night. Tokico fronts, KYB adjustables in the rear all on H&R springs. The ride is night and day, no bounce up or down at all..very controlled.

FYI about the KYBs: The springs are to small for the KYB spring perch. The bottom of the 2000+ springs seem about 1" to small so they don't sit properly on the rear shocks. They teater but after you put the rest of the assembly together and torque it all down, everything seems fine.

Ride hight should be 1.5 inches in a few months but right now the fronts were at 28 inches and now are 27" and the rears were 27.5 and now are 27 inches. There should be a little more setteling but over all very happy with the ride.

Bought everything from SHOX.com. $92ea Tokico fronts(2000+), $80ea KYB rears('97-'99) and the H&R springs were $229('99+)...around $600 shipped and very, very happy with the results so far.

Also installed Porterfield brake pads front and rear. Another MUST HAVE, best $130 I ever spent. You can still get a great deal on these pads of you mention MaximaDriver.com. I'm up to 30,000 miles on the car and now all I need are new tires...thinking about Dunlop 5000(235-45).

They are great at first, but wear quickly when driven aggressivly, regardless of the wear/traction numbers. I drive on SP5000 and love them! They are not as agressive as summer tires but handles really well in rain and snow. True, they do were out fast but they are V/Z rated afterall! But the greatest thing about the tires is that they ride really smooth and comfortable. I was very surprised at how nice and quiet ride is.

How did this thread change to SP5000 Dunlop tires?

And I'd also like to know why you went with tok's up front? Was it because KYB's aren't exactly out yet, ***Cattman*** and the Tok's were a direct replacement?
