What are good 1/8 mile times?
The only track that we've got in the metro area here that does a Test and Tune night is an 1/8 mile track and I was wondering if anyone knew what a good 1/8 mile time would be or if it's even worthwhile to do something for 1/8 mile.
Just thought it'd be fun to take the bro-in-law out there with his new 2000 Max and run times with him.
Thanks!

high 9's for a Max
I ran 9.9's consistently with one good launch (most of my reaction times were 1.2 or worse!) that netted me a 9.7.
I'm a horrible drag racer though so I'm sure you can squeeze better than that out of a stock 5spd 4th gen.
My trusty old Civic with a 50shot of nitrous ran 8.9's
My motocross bike (local track let's you run ANYTHING) runs 7.9's at 86mph. On the rear wheel the whole way. haha

If I remember right...
My 14.9 was with a 9.6X@73.5mph in the 1/8th. That was with a 2.45 60 foot. So if I could get off the line better with a 2.2 60' it would be closer to a 14.6 with a ~9.4 second 1/8th mile. So that's what you should be shooting for if you've got some good mods, 5 speed, and a sticky track.
