Difference in Bumper Lenses - Diamond cut, etc?

Pretty new here, but what's the difference between normal clear bumpers and the "diamond cut" clear bumper lenses, other than the additional $30.00 that procarparts.com is charging? I kind of like the normal because it will somewhat match the corner lenses and the fogs...

what are your thoughts, opinions...

These are the diamond cut ones...http://www.custommaxima.com/DiamondCutBumperLights.html

These are the cloudy white plastic ones...https://maxima.org/shoptalk/sub_modi...rs/index.shtml

IMHO the diamond cut ones look better. I had the cloudy version on my car first and then sold them and bought the diamond cut ones. They look a thousand times better as they match the headlights and fogs better.

Just buy some clear silicone and seal those babies up...actually helps snug them in the bumper recess better.

You don't have to worry about this with the new ones...

The newest shipment of CustomMaxima.com and Stealth Max corners are leak-proof. The leaks only occured with the older Diamond-Cut versions.

Oh yeah and another vote for the Diamond-Cuts.

i'm all for the diamond cut. there is a big difference between the two. if you looked at the pictures above you can see that looking through the diamond cuts is like looking through a window. as for the regular clears, it's like looking through a foggy window.

The reason for the huge wait for them was because he was getting a whole new batch of water-proof ones. What do you mean by "REAL" clears?

UMMM Nope, the ones that were being made water proof were not REAL DC clears, they were regular ones... Are we talking about the order of 1,000 lights that he was waiting on because they were fixing the housing?? If so, then those were not DC clears... they were all regular old clears and that is how he sent them out and it was a big old mess. I odered DC clears and got regular clears along with everyone else on the long back order list. Didn't you know about that??

I thought only a few people got the non-DC cut and that was a shipping error? Oh well I bought from Stealth Max and mine don't leak for sure... I just sprayed each one for 2 minutes with a hose (since I was already washing the car and wanted to test them ), and no leaking.

You got lucky then, cause if the numbers Greg gave were right, then he sent out 600 plus regular clears as DC clears??

Not really "lucky"... I got mine from Stealth Max and saved $9.

Does anyone know if the clear corners from autodynamic.com are the same as the diamond cut ones from custommaxima.com? They look the same but are they the older version that leak? Pic here.

in my opinion, the diamond cut bumper lenses are much better, because they are more clear. they are not faded like the normal, cheaper bumper lenses

The Autodynamic.com ones are the real diamond cut lenses. Not sure if they have any leakage problems...
