How is the idle for 2k2 owners?

My 2k2 SE seems to have a lot more vibration than my previous 2k in idle. Has anyone noticed this?

Actually when my car start my car and am idling in the driveway I forget I turned it on... There is no vibration and barely any noise.

Agree. Quietest car I've owned (not been in, but owned).

At 80mph the wind noise gets kinda irritating though... From the back windows mostly. Any way to get rid of this? (02 max)

I think the 2k TSB for the fix will apply to your Max.

I have a 2k2 and unless it's really windy outside (e.g. car moves with the wind) the only noise i hear is road noise.

No vibrations at idle either.

Where do you notice the vibration? Steering wheel? Gearshift lever? Whole body? Sometimes, I notice the steering wheel vibrates ever so slightly at idle, but other than that, it is smooth and quiet.

idle noise

The car is pretty quiet, although not nearly as quiet as I remember my 89SE being (at the start). There is a slight vibration felt through the steering wheel, but it really is slight.

How many miles you have? My guess is its going to smooth out more for you (and use good gas - here in California this "winter gas" additive really messes with mpg and smooth running). With under 1,000 miles still on mine, I also feel the slight idle vibrations through steering wheel, but nothing obnoxious, and its gone once I;m moving.

I have 1,200 miles on my car.The vibration can be felt though the steering wheel along with a shaky idle of the engine. Hopefully it will smooth out as I get more miles in.

About 2200 miles, and I feel no vibrations. Car is smooth and quiet when I am just parked somewhere with the engine running. And about that wind noise at 80mph. Yeah, I got that fixed. It's called a couple of subs in the trunk bumpin away! Although, I must say that I never really noticed any abnormal road noise when I was driving before I put the subs in. But then again, I always had some kind of music playing....so maybe that's why I didn't hear anything.

I wonder if it will go away if i tape the window like it says to do on the TSB... hopefully so... Anyone have pictures of rear window spoilers installed on their cars (i imagine it would look kinda weird)

imo, at idle i noticed that the VQ35 has just a bit more vibration (not necessarily noise) than the VQ30. Mostly at startup. However, once you step on the gas, the VQ35 is smoother and quiter. I kind of miss the roar of the 3.0 but love the pull of the 3.5.

Did you take it easy during the break-in period? New rotors + high speed + hard braking = out-of-round (warped) rotors = vibration during braking.

I think it could be that you need an alignment....
