I think you need to figure out why your Idle Air Control Valve doesn't work.

Just so you know, I have the same design intake that Bruce helped me with. If you would look closely on the picture you would notice that there is a breather filter on the IAC hose. This won't work with other Maximas. It results in the car shutting off and throwing a Vaccum leak code 0115. In Bruce's car it doesn't. We don't know why, it just doesn't. On mine, the hose is connected. He made his first and we didn't even know it was a problem until it was attempted on mine. Since his car works fine without it, there is no reason to have it.

Hey it looks good!! Did you steal the parts from another intake or try and make it yourself? I have to ask...how are you going to start your car with the battery clamps attached to the air filter?

Yeah i know looks kinda funny in that pic but, yeah the piping is off an 89 Grand National( Intercooler pipe) and i moved the batery into the trunk and the wires all run into the fenderwell then back towards the trunk. Any other questions.

Well actually yes, How are you running so fast on a NA motor? I have some similar bolt ons and a similar but more ghetto intake than you have. Is it the ECU you have or is it the other thing you mention in your sig but dont reveal? The reason I ask is b/c I have been trying to find a NA Maxima that runs a low 14 in the 1/4 and yours is the fastest I have seen yet...

Two things: slicks, massive weight reduction. His is the quickest, for the time being

Plus he is a 1995 which was the fastest stock of the 4th gens. That can help a little as well.

Yeah, what's funny is his Max doesn't even sound like a Max anymore. More like an F1 with a 6500 rpm rev limiter. All you hear is air moving.

Did you do the relocation to the trunk like on www.maximadriver.com ? Just curious if thats what you used to move it and if anything felt different about it.

Well sort of but that works just fine my only suggestion is that you put it on the passenger side in the truck to even out the weight distribution. It makes a big difference. got any other questions just ask.
