Choosing rims to buy ?'s

I need some help with rim sizes. I am looking to get neeper dagg rims 18's. The only problem is the width. There are 18x7's and 18x8.5's. Does anyone have an opinion on what size would look better. They both have the bolt pattern for maxima's but the offset is different. What offset is needed for a 2001 maxima? Would the 18x8.5's scrape the inside of the car? Would the 18x7's look to skinny?

18x7 is too thin, but 8.5 might be too wide. Why don't you go with a 18x8?

Take a look at the specs for the tires you want to run on your rims. Pay particular attention to the specs for acceptable rim widths. My suspicion is that you'll need at least 8"-wide rims to run tires that maintain a proper geometry for your Maxima.

You'll also want to keep an eye on the load rating for the tires you want to mount. Generally speaking, it's not a good idea to run tires with a load rating less than that of your stock OEM tires.

This particular rim only comes in 18x7 and 18x8.5. They are also both the same price. Go with the 8.5's and mount some Yokohama Parada's. Either 225, which is not the typical 225 width...its much wider than our factory tires. Or you could go 235. I had 225 and they were a perfect width.

Look into SSR GT3's. Pricey for most people, but I doubt you'll see them on other cars.
