AE pedal installation?

First of all I would like to thank all the forum members for helping me get started with my Max. I was wondering how exactly to install the AE gas pedal lever to my 2000 GXE. Is it hard...is it easy. Any input would be appreciated...thanks!

Its not too difficult

Here you go. Sorry for not explaining in greater detail. If you have any questions let me know.

-Unbolt the accelerator (two bolts), I found the use of an angle attachment for the ratchet helpful.

-Disconnect the throttle linkage (located next to the TB) this will give you the room needed to pull the pedal down and disconnect it from the throttle wire. Disconnecting the linkage is similar to disconnecting a V-brake on a mountain bike.

-Disconnect the pedal from the throttle wire

This is what worked best for me. I found it next to impossible to disconnect the pedal with out disconnecting the linkage first.

I disconnected the accelerator pedal by popping the plastic piece on the upper backside of the petal towards the engine (used a philips screwdriver). You can get the idea by looking at the the accelerator pedal on the AE assembly. I simply snapped the pedal back on without removing the original assembly. Worked like a charm....

Speaking of drilled pedals, has anyone found one for the "dead" pedal left of the clutch? Thanks...

Not matching.

I was hoping the HLSD 2K2 or maybe the 2K3 will have one I can "steal".

Let me know if you find one.
