need advice on lowering springs

I plan to purchase B & G springs for my '96 I30t. Since my funds are limited, I can't afford new aftermarket struts now. My car has 60k miles on it. Would my stock struts hold for another 25k miles? Any advice will be appreciated.

The ride will be ok, but the ultimate handling will not be very good. Just keep saving.

Once you put them on start saving though. That way if the struts blow on you your not stuck riding on crapopy struts. They may blow eventully on you.
