If we where able to swap engines with another nissan engine which one could we swap it with. exp. SR20DET.

 

i think the engine that ours can be swapped with is the vq30det.

 

which is that one out of.

 

q45 overseas.

we dont haove too many options. anything other than a vq30de or vq35de is gonna need a lotta custom parts and fitment in order work properly. the vq30det is used in a few cars in japan. although it is a VQ, it is used in RWQ applications. it would be difficult to get a tranny for it to fit the max.

 

i think any engine we try to transplant will reuqire custom work, even trying to put the vq35de in a 2k-2k1 will require mods.

so if you going to do a sawp go with the DET

 

the thing is, i dont think that a fwd tranny for the vq30det exists. i dont think a vq30de or vq35de tranny will bolt up to it either.

 

Well if your willing you can take the guts of a VQ30DET in to your VQ30de... this should work but it would be a long job... and one other thing the main reson the skyline moter would not work is that its a inline and we use V6's

 

It would be much cheaper and easier to either install a Supercharger or have a custom Turbo installed in there.
